Android Phone Compatibility

The Vixxa CGM app works with most modern Android phones. Some brands require additional setup to ensure reliable Bluetooth connectivity and background app operation.

Minimum Requirements

  • •Android 9.0 (Pie) or higher
  • •Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) or higher
  • •Location and Bluetooth permissions must be granted to the Vixxa CGM app

Setup Steps by Brand

Samsung

  1. Open Settings > Apps > Vixxa CGM
  2. Tap Battery and select Unrestricted
  3. Go to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits
  4. Remove Vixxa CGM from the Sleeping apps list
  5. Ensure Bluetooth and Location are always on

Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO

  1. Open Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > Vixxa CGM
  2. Tap Autostart and enable it
  3. Tap Battery Saver and select No restrictions
  4. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver
  5. Disable MIUI Battery Saver or add Vixxa CGM to exceptions
  6. Lock the app in the recent apps tray (swipe down on the app card)

Realme

  1. Open Settings > Battery > Battery optimisation
  2. Find Vixxa CGM and select Don't optimise
  3. Go to Settings > App Management > Vixxa CGM
  4. Enable Auto-launch and disable Optimise battery use
  5. Lock the app in the recent apps tray

OPPO

  1. Open Settings > Battery > More battery settings
  2. Disable Optimise battery use for Vixxa CGM
  3. Go to Settings > App Management > App List > Vixxa CGM
  4. Enable Allow Auto-launch and Allow to run in the background
  5. Lock the app in the recent apps tray

Vivo / iQOO

  1. Open Settings > Battery > Background power consumption management
  2. Find Vixxa CGM and enable Allow background running
  3. Go to Settings > Apps > Autostart Manager
  4. Enable autostart for Vixxa CGM
  5. Lock the app in the recent apps tray

OnePlus

  1. Open Settings > Battery > Battery optimisation
  2. Find Vixxa CGM and select Don't optimise
  3. Go to Settings > Apps > Vixxa CGM > Advanced
  4. Enable Allow background activity
  5. Lock the app in the recent apps tray

General Troubleshooting

  • •Ensure Bluetooth and Location are both turned on
  • •Grant all requested permissions when opening the Vixxa CGM app for the first time
  • •Keep the Vixxa CGM app excluded from any "battery saver" or "optimisation" features
  • •If readings stop, toggle Bluetooth off and on, then reopen the app
